BREAKING NEWS - The Mead Is In Mourning

2 weeks ago By MIKE GREEN

Sad news - death of one of the clubs founders.

We have been told the tragic news that one of the clubs elder statesmen - PETER TIERNEY - has passed away earlier today after a short illness.

Peter was one of just two of the original "founders" who were at the birth of TTFC back in 1971! To give 47 years of your time to one club is a huge credit and testiment to the kind of man that Peter was - it was a massive acheivement and one of which every single person who had the honour to know Peter can account to and are very proud of! Matchday's really wont be the same ever again without Peter's smiling face and warm welcome...

Peter was a gentleman and will be sorely missed by every at the Mead and we send his family our deepest and sincere condolences at this time...

RIP Peter - it was an honour and a privelege to have known you and to have spent time with you; sharing some of your wonderful footballing memories...
