The BOSTIK South East Fixtures Have Been Announced...

Thirty days ahead of kick off in the new BOSTIK South East League, The Mead match schedule is now available...so get the dates in your diary

The new League will see The Mead start and finish with trips to Sussex. On opening day, we'll head for Pilot Field to face HASTINGS UNITED on Saturday 11th August and we will end the campaign again in Sussex when we travel to HORSHAM on Saturday 27th April.

The first home game will be on SUNDAY 19th August when we face FAVERSHAM TOWN - which is one of two scheduled Sunday home fixtures for The Mead with the second being against RAMSGATE on Sunday 14th April.

Christmas sees The Mead welcome HAYWARDS HEATH to Princes Park on Saturday 15th December, before hosting PHOENIX SPORTS on Boxing Day, whilst on Saturday 29th December, The Mead will finish 2017 with an away trip to GREENWICH BOROUGH and there's no game scheduled for New Years Day.

Easter sees The Mead travelling to play HYTHE TOWN on Easter Saturday (April 20th) before hosting the return fixture with GREENWICH BOROUGH on the day after Easter Monday - St Georges Day - Tuesday 23rd April - as Dartford are already at home on the Bank Holiday to Billericay Town.

Speaking to the Gaffer about the full list (which is listed below), Tommy said, "We start on Saturday at Uckfield but we're not expecting miracles; we'll do what we need to and go forward with new training facilities as well as hopefully some back up from the new under 23 squad."

Tommy went on, "The fixtures really look like they're from the old Southern League! Christmas is obviously kinder as last year we had two trips into Sussex scheduled, although," he said smiling, "I am a little gutted that we're down to go to Guernsey at the end of January!"

"All in all its looks a good traditional regional League which I know is what they're trying to do! That said though, Kent is a big place!"
